Relationships and Results

“Beyond the Sale” means paying attention. The heart of Sheri and Matt’s work doesn’t focus on the sale. Real estate, for them, is more than a simple transaction. From initial consultations and market analysis to making sure new houses feel like homes, Sheri and Matt go above and beyond by prioritizing relationships and their
clients’ long-term goals.

Sheri Butler and Matt Stapleton have been living and working on the Eastside for a combined 40 years. As longtime real estate professionals and as your neighbors, they take great pride in the work they do.

When you’re looking to buy or sell a home, you want someone behind you who knows the intricacies of the process and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure that you find your dream home. Over the years, Sheri and Matt have built relationships with elite trade professionals and have developed priceless practices, tools, and support systems that optimize the experience of home buying and selling. They are committed to assisting you beyond the sale through a process that is easy and hassle-free.

Sheri and Matt know that the decision to buy or sell your home is one of the most personal decisions you’ll make in life.

Sheri’s easy rapport, professional presence and 30 years of expertise makes her a trusted ally to any buyer or seller — instantly.

In today’s climate, a real estate agent often serves as an advocate. Sheri’s a fighter, personally and professionally. A cancer survivor and passionate volunteer, Sheri goes to bat for others every single day. Her passion for finding the perfect home for her client — or helping to let a home — fuels her drive. Her reputation adds credibility to the process, and Sheri very often emerges victorious in bidding wars — just ask about her record.

Sheri provides clients an intimate knowledge of Eastside communities because she and her partner in life and business, husband Matt Stapleton, live, work and play there. They understand what it’s like to navigate the most complex, costly, and emotional decision of a lifetime. So, Sheri makes the process as smooth and stress-free as possible, every step of the way. She expertly nails down all those moving parts and keeps the momentum going forward to close the transaction, and she stays involved with her clients “Beyond the Sale.”

For nearly three decades, Matt has been delivering on promises to clients. While his background includes experience in sales, marketing, public relations, advertising and entrepreneurship, it all adds up to this: Matt is a go-getter. He joined Windermere in 1990 and quickly found his niche: matching people to their dream homes.

A Bellevue native, Matt brings the behind-the-scenes details on the neighborhoods, schools, parks, gyms, and restaurants across the Eastside. He’s a renaissance man with a passion for both new homes and historic architecture, and frequently collaborates with homebuilders. When his clients need connections to trusted lenders, home stagers, contractors or painters, Matt’s got plenty of recommendations to make. And he’s been known to show up with a shovel in hand if a tidy landscape will help close the sale.

Matt and his partner in life and work, Sheri Butler, personally understand the challenges associated with managing life changes. He’s a man on a mission every single day to help his clients achieve their goals.

She has been working with the Butler and Stapleton team since February of 2015. Why Windermere?

Sheri and Matt have been with Windermere for over 25 years. They connected with the overall culture and Windermere’s commitment to putting relationships before sales quotas. Sheri and Matt’s commitment to community dovetailed with Windermere’s community service programs, the Windermere Foundation and on-going initiatives to combat homelessness.

For them, Windermere is a true example of integrity, and their sincere, caring approach — from ownership to office managers down to their fellow brokers — radiates a feeling of family and support, where you always know the right person to go to and help is always available.

Giving Back

Supporting their community

Sheri and Matt have always felt strongly about giving back to their community, from donations to the Windermere Foundation and other meaningful causes to lending a helping hand in service projects and charity events. Here are some of the ways they get involved:

For over 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer. Together with millions of supporters worldwide, they help people to stay well and get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer. Everyday thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there. The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.
